“Sustainable mobility for everyone” - discussion and debate
Under the overall theme of the conference, “Sustainable mobility for everyone”, nine parallel sessions will explore topics as diverse as: Data collection to inform Sustainable Urban Mobility Plan preparation. How do we begin to address the problem of mobility poverty? And how should we adapt the approach to Sustainable Urban Mobility Plan preparation to be suitable for small cities with limited resources?
Each of these sessions will include presentations by experts on these subjects, case studies from across Europe, as well as facilitated discussions to ensure that all conference attendees are able to share their views and experience.
Special focus on Bucharest & Romania
Romania provides an inspiring and informative host country for the 2015 conference, as the government has been active in putting in place legislation for Sustainable Urban Mobility Plans and eight cities have recently embarked on preparing Sustainable Urban Mobility Plans through the Growth Poles Programme.
During the conference programme there will be the opportunity to hear about SUMP preparation for the Bucharest-Ilfov agglomeration, Timisoara, Cluj-Napoca, Brasov and Suceava.
