Reduced energy use, alternative means of transport, closed-looped systems to manage waste: these are just some of the way cities, municipalities and regions are making the world more sustainable. But while some are on track, others are falling behind. How can local and regional governments lead transformative change on the ground? What will best prepare them for a sustainable future? Mayors, local and regional leaders from across Europe will explore these and other burning questions at the 2020 CEMR Congress: “Local Action. Global Shift - Living the Sustainable Development Goals”. Join hundreds of local and regional leaders in Innsbruck from 6 to 8 May and learn from places that are ahead of the curve on the key practices for sustainable development.
