Getting the measure of Baukultur – pour un espace de vie de qualité

In January 2018 the European Ministers of Culture adopted the Davos
Declaration calling for a high-quality Baukultur to improve the wellbeing
of all. To understand how we can improve the built environment, the
Swiss Federal Office of Culture (FOC), the International Council on
Monuments and Sites (ICOMOS), the International Union of Architects
(UIA), the Swiss Society of Engineers and Architects (SIA) and the
Departement of territorial development (DT) of the Canton of Geneva
will hold a conference entitled “Getting the measure of Baukultur”. The
conference aims to address questions such as these: What is our exact
definition of high-quality Baukultur? How can it be achieved? How
can Baukultur be assessed? By bringing together experts in Baukultur
with representatives of other disciplines, the conference will generate
innovative and constructive ideas.

En janvier 2018, les ministres européens de la Culture ont adopté la
Déclaration de Davos. Ce faisant, ils ont appelé à mettre en oeuvre une
culture du bâti de qualité afin d’accroître le bien-être humain. Pour
comprendre comment améliorer notre espace de vie, l’Office fédéral
de la culture (OFC) suisse, le Conseil international des monuments
et des sites (ICOMOS), l’Union internationale des architectes (UIA),
la Société suisse des ingénieurs et des architectes (SIA) et le Département
du territoire (DT) du canton de Genève organisent une conférence
intitulée « Getting the measure of Baukultur ». Cette conférence se
propose notamment de répondre aux questions suivantes : Comment
définir correctement une culture du bâti de qualité ? Comment la
mettre en place ? Comment évaluer la culture du bâti ? En réunissant
des experts de la culture du bâti et d’autres disciplines, la conférence
permettra de générer des idées innovantes et constructives.
